Lisa has been a presence at Hiller Jewelry since she was a little girl. She shadowed her father around their CBD location in the Security Center wrapping gifts and learning all she could. Lisa is now the fourth generation family member carrying on the Hiller tradition. She specializes in listening to her customers and finding the perfect piece of jewelry to meet their taste and budget. If the store doesn’t have it in stock, Lisa will design a one of a kind piece that will wow every time.

Joe Biderman married Jonas’ daughter Joan in the late 1970’s and immediately went to work for his father in law. Jonas treated Joe like a son and taught him everything he knew about jewelry. They worked harmoniously together until Jonas passed in 1991. Joe is an expert in diamonds, gemstones, general jewelry and estate appraisal work. He has assisted many customers with liquidating jewelry from estates or helping turn old jewelry in to new designs.

Alphonse’s son Jonas joined Hiller Jewelry in the 1930’s and spent his career building relationships with manufacturers so that Hiller could transition from being a wholesaler to offering fine jewelry and precious gems directly to consumers. He cultivated a dedicated customer base that brought Hiller Jewelry into the homes of countless New Orleans families. Jonas was a character who “told it like it was” and to this day customers still come in to the store to reminisce about Mr. Hiller.

Alphonse Hiller founded Hiller Jewelry in 1918 as a wholesale jewelry company in the old Godchaux building on the corner of Canal and Decatur. Alphonse, with his son Jonas, toiled for over 30 years to build the largest diamond wholesale business in the South East region.
